Parisi has been an integral part of the Marin County Safe Routes to School program since 2001, and managing it since 2006. The program reaches over 50 schools and all cities and towns within Marin County in implementing all five Es. Marin’s SR2S program has received numerous local, regional and national awards for spearheading successful policies and programs, significantly increasing the number of children walking and bicycling to and from school. As part of its services, Parisi also prepares grant applications and has successfully implemented over $18 million in Safe Routes to School infrastructure improvements. In recent years, program efforts have been expanded with the Countywide Street Smarts campaign and the introduction of SchoolPool, a web-based carpool, bus, bike and walking matching program.
